The right HVAC service depends on the symptom: no cooling, no heat, weak airflow, an electrical failure, water near the equipment, wildfire smoke, or a part that has to match a specific brand. Every route starts with a diagnosis and only then moves to repair, maintenance or replacement pricing. The cards below list every service we offer in Sunnyvale, Santa Clara and Cupertino; this table points you to the one to open first.
Start from what the system is doing
| What is happening | Start here |
|---|---|
| AC runs but blows warm air, or the outdoor unit hums and will not start | AC repair |
| AC fully down, frozen or leaking during a heat spell | Emergency AC repair |
| No heat, ignition failure, burning smell or short cycling | Furnace repair |
| Heat pump heats weakly, ices over or shows a fault code | Heat pump repair |
| Rooms the ducts never reached, an addition, or an Eichler that needs cooling | Ductless mini-splits |
| Smoke, dust, odors, humidity or allergies | Indoor air quality |
| Gas smell, CO alarm, electrical burning smell, water through a ceiling | Emergency services. For gas or CO, leave the house first and call the gas utility or 911 |
| Not an emergency, but you need someone today | Same-day service |
Overviews that cover a whole area
Six pages pull a group of related jobs together. Open one when you want the full picture rather than a single repair:
- Air conditioning covers every cooling job, from a capacitor or a coil cleaning to a full replacement.
- Heating covers gas and electric furnaces, heat pumps, boilers and radiant floor heat.
- Maintenance plans explain annual tune-ups, spring and fall checks and filter service.
- New installation walks through new construction, complete system replacement, ductwork and zoning.
- Commercial HVAC is for offices, shops, restaurants and rooftop units, with VRF/VRV systems for larger buildings.
- Emergency services explains what counts as an HVAC emergency and how urgent calls are triaged.
Repair or replace
Repair usually wins when one part failed on a system that otherwise works. Replacement deserves a quote when an older system needs a major part, keeps breaking, or never kept the house comfortable. If you get there, the installation pages cover the choices: AC installation, furnace installation, heat pump installation and, for wildfire smoke and allergies, air purifier installation.
Before you call
Note what the system is doing, when it started and any error code or blinking light. A photo of the equipment label gives the brand and model; the brands pages explain what changes from one manufacturer to the next. The Sunnyvale, Santa Clara and Cupertino pages cover local details.
